An overnight crash on the Fred Hartman Bridge was the result of a wrong-way driver; several lanes were shut down as a result of the accident.
Around 12:30 a.m. La Porte police said they received reports of a wrong-way driver on the bridge.
All lanes of the bridge were shut down for nearly an hour, and according to a driver some drivers were driving in reverse down the bridge.
It wasn’t clear how many people were involved in the accident, but the wrong-way driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
