Shoppers on Friday night had to evacuate a grocery store on Spencer Highway after a fire started in the Mi Tienda bakery area. Both the Pasadena and South Houston fire departments responded to the fire at around 10:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
No one was seriously injured, and while flames were through the roof of the grocery store, firefighters were quick to respond.
Traffic in the area on Spencer Highway was affected, but crews were quick to the scene to avoid any serious injuries or problems.
