A former Montgomery County Tax Office employee filed suit against J.R. Moore (Tax Assessor/Collector), Tammy McRare (Chief Deputy of Operations), the Montgomery County Tax Office and the county’s Civil Service Commission.
The 17-page suit was filed February 13, and according to Ruth Ann “Missy” VanDine’s complaint she is suing the defendants for age discrimination, unlawful termination and retaliation.
VanDine’s attorney says she’s not looking for a lot of press in this lawsuit, but rather is just looking for justice.
The plaintiff is seeking back pay and a declaratory judgment against the defendants stating that they discriminated and retaliated against VanDine.
