Previously in accidents and tickets caused by texting while driving, the driver was considered the party at fault. But now those sending the texts may be held responsible.
Right now in Texas there is no statewide texting and driving ban. But more and more communities are passing their own laws and enforcing them to cut down on distracted driving.
