Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCThe Houston patrol officer who allegedly tried to steal a duffel bag filled with 8 kilos of cocaine in an eternal affairs sting could be facing additional charges.

Officer Julissa Guzman Diaz, 37, was arrested for tampering and fabricating evidence, but she could also be charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

If Diaz is convicted of the third-degree felony, she could face as much as 10 years in prison. She could face more time if she’s convicted of a more serious charge.

Diaz pulled over a driver who was actually an undercover officer. The undercover officer told Diaz that the car was not his, and he told her there was cocaine in the car that was also not his.

Police say that Diaz and a wrecker driver agreed to meet up and split up the bag of cocaine. Police followed the wrecker driver and pulled him over and found the cocaine as well as marijuana.

Diaz is free on $100,000 bail.
