Two people were killed on the Fred Hartman Bridge in the La Porte area this week when a wrong-way driver hit another vehicle.
Authorities say that the two vehicles hit each other head on in the far left northbound lane late Monday just before midnight.
Deputies learned that 90-year-old Major Abram of the east Houston area was driving southbound in the northbound lane when he struck 27-year-old Lamont Rhodes of the southern Houston area.
Both drivers died at the scene of the accident. Neither vehicle had any passengers.
