The Pellerin Law Firm is happy to represent clients in wage and overtime cases.

Overtime

Employers are required to pay most employees overtime at one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate as a result of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which is referred to as the FLSA. The FLSA requires this payment of time and a half for all work in excess of 40 hours a week. Employers often (either on accident or deliberately) fail to pay the proper wages required. If your employer fails to pay the proper wages or overtime, you may be due damages equal to the unpaid wages as well as an equal amount in liquidated damages or pre-judgement interest. If you think that you are being shorted on your overtime hours by your employer, contact the Pellerin Law Firm today.

Many states have laws that restrict the type of deductions that employers can make from your wages. These laws often require that you receive all tips left by your customers.
