Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCFour workers were hurt Friday in an explosion at a chemical plant along the Houston Ship Channel.

The explosion happened Friday morning, according to Pasadena police, in the 2500 block of N South Street. SunEdison’s spokesman said that the accident involved the company’s silicon plant.

Pasadena police confirmed that the explosion created no threat to the community. The chemical released during the explosion is “silane.”

At this point the company is still gathering information about Friday’s accident. The injured workers were transported to hospitals, and three of the workers were released by Friday afternoon.
