Negative history between some students caused a brawl to break out in a La Porte High School hallway while class was in session.

In the video, taken Oct. 25,  three students argue, which escalates into a violent brawl involving five students. The physical altercation goes on for about 45 seconds before an adult interferes and breaks up the fight. Shane Pellerin Law Firm Probate Lawyer

Sgt. John Krueger of LPPD said the two students who started the fight were charged with Class A assault. A student who attempted to break up the fight was not charged. A fifth student was later charged with Class C assault after getting involved.

Parents of students at La Porte High School have posted the video to raise awareness of ongoing problems with violence occurring in the schools and insufficient presence of security.

A spokesperson for La Porte ISD says that the school has increased the presence of administrators and is cooperating fully with police during the investigation.

The school held an open meeting between administrators and parents and assured that they are trying to prevent events like this in the future.

Meanwhile, some students have expressed concern about ongoing bullying and are nervous to attend school.
