As Houston-area school districts have closed amid concerns of the Coronavirus, many are offering free meals for their students.
HISD along with the Houston Food Bank offered food distribution Saturday morning at Cesar Chavez High School.
While social distancing is required many schools are offering curbside pickup options.
Families who choose to walk rather than drive will be required to stand six feet apart from each other while waiting in line.
HISD Police will work with staff volunteers to enforce social distancing rules.
