A man who fled authorities while being processed in the Harris County Jail was recaptured in nearby Buffalo Bayou.
Alberto Lucio, 33, was arrested on a warrant for a theft charge Monday. He allegedly stole an arcade game from southwest Houston.
While being processed, Lucio was able to escape. He ran a few blocks and then jumped into Buffalo Bayou.
Lucio was still in handcuffs and was struggling to stay afloat. A Houston police officer jumped in and pulled him ashore.
