Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCOfficials say that they’ve finished testing the air and water in La Porte after a warehouse fire, and they’re saying there are no hazards toward the community.

A warehouse fire burned for several hours overnight this past weekend in La Porte. The warehouse fire started around 10 p.m. Saturday evening along South 5th Street near State Highway 146.

Authorities requested that residents shelter in place due to concerns of chemicals being involved with the fire.

Harris County Pollution Control tested water and air from the site and lifted the shelter-in-place order after about two hours.

The warehouse fire is under investigation.
