Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCOn Friday a formaldehyde truck overturned in La Porte, which blocked Fairmont Parkway for the morning commute.

Officials said there was no danger to the public, but the accident caused traffic snarls on Friday morning.

A hazmat crew was on the scene as a precaution.

According to the CDC, formaldehyde is a colorless, flammable gas when at room temperature. Formaldehyde has a pungent, distinct color and may cause a burning sensation to the eyes, lungs and nose when highly concentrated.
