Councilman Thomas Garza said he was escorted out of Monday night’s La Porte City Council meeting for refusing to wear a mask.
La Porte City Council began the meeting with a vote that would require everyone at the front table to cover their faces.
Garza says he believes that such a requirement goes too far.
Garza says he plans to attend the next La Porte City Council meeting in person and not wear a mask.
He was escorted out of the meeting by a police officer.
