A child and a 35-year-old suspect got into a fight over spilled water, and the confrontation led to the 6-year-old girl being fatally shot.
Pasadena police are investigating after the young girl was shot and killed Friday morning around 11:30 in the 3600 block of Shaver near Allen-Genoa Road.
The suspect has been charged with capital murder. He’s been identified as 35-year-old Raymeon Means.
Police say that the child was taken to Bayshore Hospital after being shot, and she died there.
The suspect is related to the child in some way. Means made his first appearance in court Saturday night.
