Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCA heat advisory is in place for southeast Texas until this evening. Temperatures could reach to up to 104 degrees F with the heat index reaching up to 109 degrees F.

Some counties in the area are under a red flag warning, which means that the hot, dry, breezy conditions could lead to a fire spreading rapidly.

Currently, Houston is on track to beat its hottest July on record. This will beat the record that was set in 1889.

If spending time outside, stay hydrated, wear cool clothes and spend time in the shade if possible.
