A Pasadena firefighter was directing traffic during a Christmas event for neighborhood kids when he was struck and injured in a hit-and-run.
The hit-and-run occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening on Pasadena Boulevard near Dewberry.
Firefighters were passing out candy canes to neighborhood kids when the incident happened.
The firefighter was thrown about 30 feet as a result of the collision. They are now recovering at home.
