A Pasadena police officer is recovering in the hospital as a result of being accidentally struck by another police officer. The incident happened Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a fire station.
The officers were on the way to help a La Porte police officer who got into an altercation with a man in the 6500 block of Spencer Highway.
After a brief verbal exchange in the parking lot, a suspicious man attacked the police officer. A witness called 911, and then additional officers came to help.
The suspicious man is being charged with assault on a police officer.
