Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCA witness detained a 20-year-old alleged drunk driver early Sunday morning. A hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Pasadena left another motorist fatally injured, so the witness detained the suspect.

The collision involving two vehicles happened around 2 a.m. on Allen Genoa.

The suspected drunk driver crashed into a 60-year-old man who was making a turn at the intersection.

Witnesses told police that after the crash the alleged drunk driver grabbed his identification and tried to run from the scene of the accident.

According to investigators, a witness who saw the accident chased down the alleged drunk driver who was trying to flee and held him to the ground until police arrived at the scene.

Police say that the alleged drunk driver was going 80 to 90MPH in a 30MPH zone.

The driver is being charged with failure to stop and render aid as well as DWI.
