Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCCar mechanic Azael Sepulveda was allowed to open his new shop this week thanks to an agreement with the city of Pasadena.

Sepulveda filed a lawsuit in December 2021 to allow his shop to open while his lawsuit challenging Pasadena’s mandatory parking requirement was pending.

Sepulveda has owned Oz Mechanics in Pasadena for several years, and he’s been working on expanding.

He found a building along Shaver Street that would work for his expansion, but the city’s new parking ordinance put the plan in jeopardy.

He has the space for up to 17 parking spaces, but the city says his space should have at least 28 parking spaces. Now, Sepulveda can open his shop while the lawsuit is pending.
