If you drive in Deer Park and use your cell phone, you run the risk of receiving a $200 ticket.
Deer Park Police began issuing tickets earlier this month in the range of $1 to $200 for each penalty. The citations are given when drivers use a cell phone and other electronic devices while driving. Up until October, Deer Park police had only issued warnings to such drivers.
Hands-free devices are allowed to be used while operating a motor vehicle.
