Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCA man is back in custody after he stole a police SUV and led police on a chase that ended in a crash in Pasadena.

The incident started near Highway 225 as a traffic stop and ended around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Highway 228.

The Pasadena Police Department said they took a man into custody for driving a stolen vehicle.

While officers were searching the stolen vehicle, the man was able to get out of handcuffs, get into the driver’s seat of the police SUV and then steal the police cruiser.

The man crashed in a ditch and tried to flee on foot, but police officers were able to catch him.

Officers say the man will be charged with evading arrest and stealing a motor vehicle.
