Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCThe latest chemical plant explosion in Pasadena, Texas adds to a string of accidents since the DuPont tragedy that occurred a little more than one year ago.

In the last 14 months, at least two people have been killed while 18 people have been injured as a result of explosions, leaks and fires at plants in the area.

Very few details came out regarding the most recent explosion that took place at PeroxyChem that killed one worker and sent three to the hospital. The most recent explosion is still being actively investigated.

The company’s main product is hydrogen peroxide, and at high concentrations it’s highly toxic–and it can cause burns or explosions if heated.

Officials would not respond to requests for comments.
