Shane Pellerin Law Firm Probate LawyerA Houston couple is warning neighbors to be careful with doggie doors; they claim that a burglar quietly entered their home in the night while they were sleeping through their dog’s entrance to the house.

Neal Eday and his wife were sleeping after celebrating July 4, and his parents were sleeping in another room of their home. When the family woke in the morning, they found a purse had been emptied and an iPad stolen.

When they awoke in the morning to find that their house had been robbed they noticed that the doors were still locked. They were convinced that the doggie door would have been the only way for the intruder to enter the home.

Neighbors are concerned that this is evidence of a trend of burglars in the Houston area becoming more brazen.

Eday will be installing a smaller doggie door as well as an alarm system to prevent such thefts in the future.
