Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCTwo men were arrested Monday after officials said they used reprogrammed credit cards and gift cards to steal 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The incident took place at a Southeast Houston gas station.

According to Houston police, the two men pulled into an unmanned fuel station with a box truck. They pumped diesel fuel into two large tanks that were connected to the main tank. The two large tanks were hidden behind mattresses in the box truck.

The pair used credit cards and gift cards that had been reprogrammed with stolen credit card numbers to buy the diesel fuel.

Undercover officers surrounded the truck and arrested the men.

Officials believe the men are responsible for additional thefts.

The men are accused of stealing nearly $3,000 in fuel.
