The father of a stabbing suspect in La Porte is asking for forgiveness as he says his daughter has mental health issues.
Rick Boulden’s 29-year-old daughter Courtney Carter was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after an attack on a neighbor. The police say the neighbor was checking on Carter’s well-being.
When the 38-year-old female neighbor walked outside to check on the woman, Carter grabbed a knife.
Police say that a good Samaritan stepped in and dragged the victim across the street.
Boulden believes that the good Samaritan saved the victim’s life.
The victim is still in the hospital with multiple stab wounds but is expected to survive.
