The cities of Deer Park and La Porte are sharing recognition for a job well done together.
The two cities received the Municipal Excellence in management innovations during the 2020 virtual Texas Municipal League’s annual conference.
Deer Park and La Porte are being recognized for their creation of the Public Information Officers and Emergency Management Coordinators Network for southeast Harris County.
The two cities worked together to improve communication throughout the region.
The goal is to develop strong, clear and concise emergency notifications.
