Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCPemex reported Monday of a tripped compressor in a catalytic cracking unit at its Deer Park refinery.

The tripped compressor led to an excessive amount of gas emissions.

Pemex reports that the emissions of sulfur dioxide started Sunday afternoon and lasted for about seven hours.

The 340,000-barrel-per-day refinery was taken over by Pemex, Mexico’s state-owned oil company, earlier this year.
