Officials announced that LyondellBassell is building the world’s largest Propylene oxide (PO) and tertiary Butyl alcohol (TBA) plant in the Houston area. According to the company, the plant will be worth $2.4 billion.
The investment is expected to be the largest of its kind, and it will create 2,500 jobs at the peak of its construction. Once the plant is completed, they expect to employ about 160 people in permanent positions.
LyondellBassell is one of the largest plastic, chemicals and refining companies in the world, according to officials.
