Police are searching for a man who caused mass hysteria at Memorial City Mall by threatening to kill himself.
According to reports, at 3:15 pm Sunday a man wearing a red half-mask entered the food court. The man jumped on a table and yelled that he was going to kill himself. He then dropped an unknown device on the floor.
According to reports from witnesses, the incident caused hundreds of people to run in fear. Police said no threat was found within the device.
Several people were injured due to being trampled by people running.
The man is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s.
