While responding to a domestic disturbance call, police attempted to raid a home in East Houston last night, searching for a man who was believed to be hiding inside with a firearm. When police organized and entered the home, the suspect had already left.
Police arrived at the home in Joliet around 8:30 p.m. after receiving calls that a man had come home and fired a shotgun inside the home. The woman inside the home was not injured and called 911. When the police arrived, they couldn’t find the man and called in a SWAT team to assist. When the team entered the home, however, the suspect was nowhere to be found.
Police believe the man was able to escape the home before they even arrived at 8:30 p.m. The search continues for the suspect, who once found will face assault with a deadly weapon charges.
