An overnight shooting left a 20-year-old Harris County woman dead. Sierra Rhodd was sleeping in her home when she was shot.
Authorities say that the fatal shooting happened in the 11220 block of Timber Crest a little after 11:00 p.m.
Deputies say that a group surrounded the home and opened fire with at the very least a shotgun, rifle and pistol. Rhodd, who had cerebral palsy, died at the scene.
While they haven’t arrested anyone yet in relation to the shooting, police say they have detained several people. Family members suspect that Sierra’s 15-year-old brother was the intended target.
