The La Porte-based business Avant-Garde Construction Company is hoping to open a concrete batch plant in northeast Harris County neighborhood. But residents of Aldine and lawmakers are concerned about the proposed plant.
Residents and lawmakers near the plant proposed at 10945 Eastex Freeway are concerned about the environmental impact of the plant as well as the impact on the people who live near the proposed concrete batch plant.
Common complaints related to the proposed plant include dust, noise, heavy trucks and more.
The public comment period related to the project has been open since January and currently no date has been set for a public hearing related to the project.
