A 32-year-old Harris County man has been charged with his eighth DUI in 12 years. Now the Harris County District Attorney’s office is trying to keep the man in jail.
Gustavo Marroquin was taken into custody by La Porte police this week when they pulled him over for speeding and found he was intoxicated.
Marroquin has been to prison three times for DWI, and his sentences have ranged from two to 10 years.
In all of his arrests, Marroquin has not been seriously hurt nor has he hurt someone else. He’s been pulled over for speeding, driving through neighborhood yards, and going the wrong way down a one way street.
It is unclear who will be representing the man in the case.
