The La Porte Office of Emergency Management shared reports of flaring at the La Porte LyondellBasell chemical facility. A Community Awareness Emergency Response was shared related to the incident on January 16.
According to LyondellBasell, a Process Upset incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the facility located at 1515 Miller Cut-Off Road.
The company said that they would provide updates to the community as they work with local officials to resolve the issue. No other information has been shared at this time.
