A La Porte man who is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl more than 20 years ago kept panties and hair as “trophies,” according to documents. He has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of child pornography. Two victims have come forward to the police.
Buford Lloyd Crowell, 67, was arrested in early December after his sister found a disturbing video of him with a child under the age of 10.
Court records state that Crowell had loaned his phone to his sister, and her granddaughter found the video on his phone.
According to documents, a search of Crowell’s home came up with photos of hundreds of naked girls, a plastic baggie with several pairs of children’s panties and other bags containing hair.
La Porte police are encouraging more victims to come forward.
