Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCMultinational chemicals firm LyondellBasell has begun work on its $2.4 billion Pasadena manufacturing plant.

The new plant will span 140 acres and will manufacture propylene oxide as well as tertiary butyl alcohol. Both chemicals are used in the production of consumer goods such as bedding, carpeting, furniture materials and more.

Officials expect the plant to begin production in 2021, and they expect that the project will have an economic impact on the area valued at more than $450 million.
