Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCTwo days after a woman was kidnapped, her body was found in a burned car less than a mile from where she went missing.

A man has been arrested for kidnapping and setting the woman’s car on fire in Pasadena.

Terrance Washington, 27, allegedly kidnapped Candace Akin around 11 p.m. on August 8. She was at her apartment complex at 3635 Shaver, and her daughter called the police when she heard her mom screaming in the apartment complex’s parking lot.

According to her daughter, Washington forced Akin into her car and then drove away.

Two days later, the South Houston Fire Department were called about a car fire in the 3300 block of Shaver. The woman’s body was in the backseat of her burning car.

The suspect eventually admitting to taking the woman and then setting her car on fire.
