An 11-year-old girl was found by her father strangled to death under a bed in her Texas home.
The girl’s father called the police, and when paramedics arrived they pronounced 11-year-old Maria Gonzalez dead.
The girl and her father had been communicating throughout the day while he was at work. The girl texted to say she heard someone knocking on their door.
The investigation determined that Gonzalez had been sexually assaulted in addition to being strangled to death.
The police say they currently do not have a suspect.
