A wrecker driver who helped save a deputy constable in a fiery crash in Pasadena has been honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Richard Borgstrom was honored at the First Responders Support Team monthly meeting.
Precinct 8 Deputy Constable Kiana LeMelle embraced Borgstrom and thanked him for saving her life.
Borgstrom said that moments after he and other helpers were able to remove LeMelle from her vehicle it was engulfed in flames.
Authorities say that alcohol was not a factor in the accident, and they will not be pressing charges against the driver.
