A Pasadena police officer resigned a week after an off-duty crash into an HPD vehicle.
Elias Vega rear-ended the HPD vehicle on April 14 on the frontage road south of Sam Houston Parkway. He’s been charged with DWI as a result of the accident.
As a result of the accident, both Vega and an officer inside the HPD vehicle were sent to the hospital. The extent of any injuries was not disclosed.
Vega offered his resignation six days after the incident.
