Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCA man smashed into dozens of cars while leading Houston police on a chase through southwest Houston Sunday morning. The officers involved in the chase fatally shot the man after he tried to run them over during the chase.

According to Houston police, the wild chase began after they received a call that a vehicle was driving northbound on the southbound lanes on Highway 59. Officers say that the man was purposefully striking vehicles on the road.

The chase lasted for nearly 30 minutes once police found the wrong-way driver. During the chase, the driver hit several vehicles, including a few HPD vehicles.

When the pursuit ended, police say that the man tried to run over several officers who were on foot. The officers shot at 63-year-old Virgil Lee Reynolds.

The man’s daughter said that he struggled with drug addiction, including meth and speed. She believes that her father was high during the wild police chase.
