James Peace, a 37-year-old Deer Park dad, was arrested for slapping a 12-year-old boy over the weekend. He’s been charged with injury to a child under 15.
According to the victim, he and his friend were walking home from school in the 2800 block of Santa Fe. A man pulled up to them, and they recognized a classmate in the passenger seat.
The boys say that the man jumped out of the car and began shouting at them. He accused them of picking on his stepdaughter, and then he slapped one of the boys and drove away.
The incident was caught on camera, so Peace confessed to the incident.
