Police took a dozen Houston-area suspects into custody last week as part of an online sting operation, Khou.com reports.
The suspects were arrested by the Houston Police Department and the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office. Those charged are Javier Romero (27), Cecil Cardona (46), Rigoberto Rojas (20), Adrian Rodriguez (26), Wener Sanchez (34), Jeffrey Zelaya (24), and Levincer Swanson (26), according to the district attorney’s office. Another suspect, Trenton C. Tibbs (24), displayed a firearm while fleeing arrest.
The suspects are accused of agreeing to meet with what they believed to be children they made contact with on the Internet.
Swanson was convicted of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in 2008.
