A five-year-old boy was backed over by a car in Harris County Monday afternoon.
What investigators are calling an accident took place in the 7500 block of Silent Wood Lane. A 68-year-old woman ran over the child, investigators told Khou.com.
The driver said she didn’t know the boy was there and backed over him, then spun the vehicle in a panic.
According to witnesses, the boy’s sister was walking home from school and saw the accident, and started screaming. A neighbor came to help, and was able to lift the car off the boy with a jack. The boy was taken to Ben Taub hospital with severe head trauma.
He was in critical condition as of Monday night, according to Khou.com. Investigators suspect no foul play.
