A Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constable was shot and killed early Sunday morning in what authorities are calling an ambush attack.
Around 12:45 a.m. in the 9100 block of Beechnut Corporal Charles Galloway pulled a car over for a traffic stop.
The driver exited his vehicle and then fired repeatedly at Galloway’s patrol car. He was struck and killed at the scene.
According to authorities the suspect is a young Hispanic male who was last seen driving a white Toyota Avalon.
HPD is handling the investigation into the incident.
