Shane Pellerin Law Firm Probate LawyerA bizarre police chase in Northwest Houston ended with 12 human trafficking suspects being detained after stealing a truck.

Around 1 a.m. this morning, a Houston man called police to report his truck had been stolen and seen on Clay Road. When officers arrived to pull the truck over, the suspects took off. Police chased the suspects for 4 and a half miles before the truck stopped near the Houston Parks and Rec building.

Once stopped, seven people in the truck tried to flee and hid in nearby mulch piles. Those suspects were apprehended by K9 units, one of them being bitten by the dog and charged with assault of a K9 officer. Another suspect was tasered by officers and will be charged with assault of a police officer.

Ultimately 10 adult males, 1 adult female and one juvenile male were apprehended. Police are treating the case as human trafficking, and the driver of the truck faces charges of unauthorized use and felony evading, additionally.
