A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a highway in La Porte.
The man was reportedly attempting to cross Highway 146 at Main Street in La Porte when a vehicle struck him around 1 a.m. Monday. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The suspect in the hit and run reportedly fled the scene.
No further information about the incident is known at this time.
