A Pasadena man is in custody in connection with the murder of his 70-year-old neighbor.
Gilbert Viera, 35, was accused of terrorizing a Pasadena family in addition to allegedly murdering his neighbor Patrice Ward in her sleep.
Viera is accused of breaking into Ward’s home in the 1000 block of Willow Oaks Circle last week. He’s accused of taking two guns and jewelry according to Pasadena authorities.
Viera lives two doors down from Ward’s home. She was sleeping in her bed when she was killed.
In addition to being charged in connection with Ward’s death, Viera is also accused of another home invasion less than a mile away.
