Shane Pellerin Law Firm, PCAfter a morning appointment at the dentist, 4-year-old Nevaeh Hall was left with severe brain damage. Her mother and and her lawyer blame the brain damage on the girl’s confinement in a dental device called a papoose, which some dentists use to immobilize children for dental procedures.

Hall has been diagnosed with dystonia and remains in the hospital. Her mother says she is constantly moving her arms and having muscle spasms. She says she cries a lot and is often agitated.

The dentist, Bethaniel Jefferson, was suspended on January 20 in relation to the incident.

The child is conscious, but she cannot talk or get up.

Diamond Dental, where the incident took place, is located at 15531 Kuykendahl Road and is suspected to be closed.
